So this goes way outside my usual. Buckin’ broncos, ropin’ cattle and ridin’ bulls! This is the real deal…cowboys and cowgirls of the west! Even one crazy cowboy who decided it would be fun to ride the buckin’ bronco while still drinking his can of beer!
On a recent trip to Idaho to visit SuzAnn’s brother and family, we got the chance to go to a local county rodeo. I thought I would break out of my comfort zone and test my photography skills at something different than the usual landscape I am known for.
The challenges were using a lens long enough to get right in there among the action. And in doing so, achieving a shutter speed fast enough to stop the action. This became even more of a challenge as the sun set and the rodeo arena was only lit by the stadium lights.
