Mesa Verde National Park – Day 3

After riding down the Delores River Canyon and skirting by Cortez, we entered Mesa Verde National Park. Here we spent about 6 hours checking out the Ancient Puebloan ruins. We even went on an hour long guided tour to the Balcony House ruin which was amazing!

Then we rode for about an hour to reach Durango where we settled into a very nice hotel room and had dinner at what the locals called the best Mexican restaurant in town. Very yummy indeed!

Tomorrow we ride the Durango-Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad…
