Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park
Yesterday we drove from Calgary south to Ennis, MT and stayed at a comfortable small lodge. It was nice to see the rural Montana countryside as I had not travelled through this area before, very beautiful!
Up and on the road shortly after 7am. Drove to Yellowstone and made a stop at the Grand Prismatic Spring geothermal area where I got some great abstract photos. Then into Grand Teton National Park, where we checked into our cute little cabin at Signal Mountain for the last two nights of our adventure. We rested for a couple of hours and then enjoyed dinner at the lodge.
For Golden Hour we went to Oxbow Bend. Not much color to the sunset due to the cloud cover. But Oxbow Bend is beautiful under any conditions!
Grand Teton National Park
The final day of our adventure before the long drive south back home in Santa Fe…
We spent the better part of the day enjoying exploring the Schwabachers Landing area. Beautiful views of the Tetons reflected in the still waters. Harmony spotted a Bull Elk just across the water and I got some great photos with my long lens. A little more exploration and we found a couple of beaver dams, but the critters were no where to be seen. Although we did see a little otter. We took the scenic park road back to the cabin for an afternoon rest. Then a NY Strip steak as a treat for the end of another amazing adventure…
